Emerald Sakara: A Jewel on the Oceans

@ Emerald Sakara

The Emerald Sakara has begun its journey against the stunning historical backdrop of Athens, setting new standards in luxury cruising.

First class maiden voyage

In front of enthusiastic spectators and with the rising sun behind her, the Emerald Sakara left the port of Piraeus on 5 August 2023. This luxurious ocean liner, the second gem from Emerald Cruises, accommodates up to 100 guests with 50 opulent suites, most of which have a balcony or terrace. With the Emerald Sakara, you can experience a whole new kind of exclusive cruising that also allows access to smaller, intimate ports. Her first eight-day journey takes her from Athens to Rome, crossing the Corinth Canal.

From Athens to Rome: A breathtaking adventure

Under the leadership of Captain Jonathan Edwards, who already accompanied the Emerald Azzurra on her first voyage, the Emerald Sakara leaves Athens and stops at picturesque places such as the island of Cephalonia and Giardini Naxos in Sicily. The picturesque west coast of Italy is next on the itinerary, with stops in Amalfi, Sorrento and Capri before Rome as the final destination.

A word from the founder

“The fact that we are launching the Emerald Sakara almost a year after the launch of the Emerald Azzurra highlights how well received our yacht cruise programme is,” emphasises Glen Moroney, Chairman and Founder of Scenic Group. This ocean liner opens up a host of exciting new destinations for its guests.

Innovative interior design and technology

The Emerald Sakara not only features an interior very similar to that of her sister yacht, but also renowned brands such as Tribu and Gervasoni, as well as designer lighting by Tom Dixon. Technology enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Starlink Internet services are available.

Emerald Sakara – Future trips and offers

After the summer months, the ship will cross the Atlantic and cruise in the warm waters of the Caribbean and Central America. Her first voyage to the Eastern Caribbean is already scheduled for 18 November 2023. And those who want to experience New Year’s Eve at sea should not miss the eight-day itinerary “Hidden Charms of the Caribbean“, which departs on 30 December 2023.
