Hotel Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne: Opening Gourmet Restaurants

In September 2022, the Hotel Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne opened its doors and has been welcoming enthusiastic guests from all over the world ever since. The two restaurants Minamo and the Colonnade definitively transform the 5-star superior hotel into one of the most fascinating culinary destinations in Switzerland.
Unique culinary creations
Under the direction of Executive Chef Gilad Peled and his team, completely new taste experiences are created. Colonnade serves modern French haute cuisine with a regional twist, while Minamo is the first omakase restaurant in Lucerne and offers an exclusive Japanese fine-dining experience.
Minamo – an intimate omakase dining experience
A special experience awaits gourmets at Minamo, where omakase dining is celebrated in an intimate atmosphere at this culinary gem with seating for just eight. Guests completely trust the chef Toshiro San, who with many years of experience in Japanese cuisine, prepares exquisite dishes such as chawamushi with shiitake right before their eyes.
Seasonal menus and exquisite ingredients
The Minamo menu follows the rhythm of the seasons and celebrates Japanese food culture. Toshiro San uses exclusive ingredients from Japan and Switzerland and makes many specialties himself. The restaurant logo represents the shape of Lake Lucerne, and the name “Minamo” means “reflections of water”.

Colonnade – modern haute cuisine in a historic ambience
At Colonnade, Chef Peled brings together his 16 years of experience in upscale dining. The menu is inspired by seasonal ingredients, and each dish is a work of art in itself. Peled’s signature dish is turbot on a beurre blanc. At the Colonnade, guests enjoy an unforgettable overall experience in historic and listed premises with a unique lake view.
