Mira Mira: A unique culinary experience in the cultural district WOW Porto

The new concept of Mira Mira not only revitalizes the culinary landscape of the cultural district WOW Porto, but also ignites the ambitions of the experienced chef, who has been working for many years in the same group of companies.

“I found the ideal place in Mira Mira to start this exciting project. On the one hand, because of the security of being part of the Fladgate Partnership Group, with which I have a long and trusting relationship. On the other hand, I was captivated by the name and the available space. I realized that the way was open for me to implement my culinary style in a very unique way and to have the freedom to design the whole concept and think about every detail – from the menu to the wines,” explains chef Ricardo Costa.

The award winning chef behind Mira Mira

Costa took over the restaurant after his successful and award-winning tenure as executive chef of The Yeatman Hotel. His 13-year career culminated with the award of two Michelin stars.

Harvest – The creative tasting menus

For Mira Mira, the chef has designed two tasting menus, which he has christened “Harvest”. They symbolize the new “fruits” of his career and the inseparable link with wine, ranging from The Yeatman to WOW Porto. One of the menus (150 euros per person) is completely vegetarian – an area of culinary art that the chef not only appreciates, but also promotes.

The wine list – A harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation

The wine list has been designed in line with the cuisine developed by Costa, combining typical Portuguese elements with a solid base of experimentation, without giving up some international touches. The focus is on small producers, organic products and regenerative agriculture. The Portuguese wine regions of Dão and Bairrada are among Ricardo Costa’s favorites to accompany his creations.
