QLOCKTWO, a brand that creates modern classics of unique value, marks a new era in the company’s history with the launch of the MOON. From private design aficionados to five-star hotels and museums – these timepieces already have a firm place in the world of luxury and design.

The philosophy behind QLOCKTWO

Two decades ago, Marco Biegert and Andreas Funk, the founders of QLOCKTWO, asked themselves the question “What is time?” in their studio in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Her response was to create unique art objects that are now recognised worldwide as QLOCKTWO EARTH.

“The valuable commodity of time should also be perceivable as such and easier to experience – a time display that shows the time in more than 20 languages as people speak it,” explain the founders.

This philosophy characterises every EARTH, the heart of which is a matrix of 110 letters displaying the time in five-minute increments.

A masterpiece of craftsmanship

The combination of horology, Swabian craftsmanship and modern design is the cornerstone of this extraordinary manufactory. Despite its global expansion, QLOCKTWO remains true to its home town of Schwäbisch Gmünd. Now with 65 employees and five stores in Germany, including an upcoming opening in Munich, QLOCKTWO has won over 40 international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award and the Gold Award from ADC Europe. The co-operation with BMW, in which the EARTH widget will be integrated into their vehicles, is another milestone for the company.

Unique items “Made in Germany”

Jens Adamik, CEO of QLOCKTWO, emphasises the importance of local craftsmanship: “Handmade timepieces ‘Made in Germany’, the highest quality standards and individual surfaces are our trademark.” The manufactory favours local resources and creates unique pieces, such as fronts made from million-year-old slate or 24-carat gold leaf.

MOON – A new dimension of time

QLOCKTWO is breaking new ground with the MOON. This time object, which focuses on the significance of the moon, symbolises longing, immortality and eternity.

“The MOON is an artistic interpretation of the phases of the moon and connects people all over the world,” explains Andreas Funk.

QLOCKTWO not only represents a new way of perceiving time, but also a link between art, design and philosophy. The introduction of the MOON opens up a new dimension in the world of time measurement that goes far beyond the conventional display and takes the viewer on a journey through time and space.
